VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology senior Jailen Hobbs brought home a 3rd-place finish in the 60m Prelims to qualify for the 60m National Finals on Saturday afternoon at 3:25 PM.

Hobbs ran a school record time of 6.75 seconds to finish 2nd place in his heat behind Davian Willems from Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a time of 6.74 seconds.

Hobbs is a 5-time HCAC Men's Sprinter of the Year.  He won the 2024 honor in the HCAC Indoor Championship after winning the 60m, 200m, and 4x100m relay.

The computer engineering major is also a 7-time USTFCCCA All-Region honoree including receiving the honor twice in the indoor season in the 60 meter and 200 meter races.

Hobbs will look to add to a Rose-Hulman track and field tradition that includes 57 All-American awards, 10 NCAA Division III national championship performances and eight NCAA Division III runner-up finishes tomorrow afternoon at 3:25 PM.
