TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers men's track & field team earned a second-place team finish at the Twilight Invitational on Friday night.
The Fightin' Engineers earned nine top-three finishes on the day. The team took the time during the meet to honor their seniors and their Head Coach
Larry Cole in his final outdoor meet at Rose-Hulman.
Rose-Hulman had four first-place finishes led by the 4x100-meter relay team of
Tim Youndt,
Caleb Heldman,
Jack Cox, and
Jailen Hobbs with a time of 41.75.
Isaac Johanningsmeier also earned an event win on the track with a time of 11:47.22 in the 3000-meter steeplechase.
James Kaunas led the team in the field events placing first in the triple jump with a mark of 42' 2.75".
Sebastien Hughes also earned an event win in the high jump clearing a height of 6' 1.5".
The men's track & field team will travel a group of Fightin' Engineers to the Gibson Family Invitational hosted by Indiana State on Saturday, April 20 at 11:30 AM.
