TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology had five student-athletes travel across town to compete in the Gibson Family Invitational at Indiana State on Saturday afternoon.
Jailen Hobbs led the Fightin' Engineers with a pair of first-place finishes in the Division I meet. Hobbs ran a 10.38 in the 100m Dash to break his own non-wind aided school record by 0.01 seconds.
In the 200m Dash, Hobbs also finished first with a time of 21.41 which is just 0.06 seconds shy of his own school record.
Prescott Brackett finished in 18th in the 200m Dash with a time of 22.41 seconds.
Tim Youndt highlighted the field events with a 4th place finish in the Triple Jump. His mark of 46' 10" ranks fourth in school history and 17th in NCAA Division III this season.
Kyle Bronwell jumped 6' 5" in the High Jump for a third-place finish overall, and
Antoine Cooper added an 11th place finish in the Discus Throw with a mark of 149' 4".
The Fightin' Engineers return to action on Friday and Saturday as they travel to Manchester University for the 2024 HCAC Outdoor Championship meet.
