NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's track and field team won its 3rd HCAC Outdoor title and 7th overall conference title at Manchester University over the weekend. It is the first outdoor title for the Fightin' Engineers since 2021 and the third time in program history that the women's team completed the indoor-outdoor sweep.
Rofiat Adeyemi led the Fightin' Engineers with a trio of first place finishes in the Long Jump, Triple Jump, and 4x100m Relay.
Narindwa Semakula also added a pair of HCAC titles in the 100m Hurdles and 4x100m Relay.
Adeyemi was named the Female Jumps Athlete of the Year for the fifth time in her career.
Jada Hunter-Hays and
Elsa King brought home the remaining first place titles for Rose-Hulman in the 400m Hurdles and 10,000m Run.
Alex Adams set the school record in the 100m Dash with a time of 12.44 seconds en route to a second place finish.
Carolina Snyder-Perez also brought home a couple of career-best performances with the #2 mark in school history in the Discus Throw and the #3 mark in school history in the Shot Put.
The Rose-Hulman track and field coaching staff was named the 2024 HCAC Coaching Staff of the Year on the women's side. The award is the 34th of the illustrious career for head coach
Larry Cole.
