TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- We are now under three months away from the opening kickoff of the 2024 Rose-Hulman football season which means it is time to break down the schedule. The full schedule can be seen
HERE.
The season kicks off on September 7th at 1 PM as the Fightin' Engineers will travel to Greencastle to battle the DePauw Tigers. DePauw has beaten the Fightin' Engineers in each of the last three season including a 33-21 loss in Terre Haute last season. Rose-Hulman will be looking for their first win over DePauw since 2003.
The Fightin' Engineers will take on a pair of MIAA schools in their remaining two non-conference meetings. Rose-Hulman will host both Trine and Hope in a pair of promotional games with Old National Bank Night on September 14 and the Tackle Childhood Cancer game on September 21. The game against Hope will also be part of the HCAC-MIAA Challenge.
Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play kicks off on October 5 as the Fightin' Engineers will host the Franklin Grizzlies for a 2 PM kickoff as they celebrate Homecoming.
Other HCAC home games this season will include Defiance on October 19 and Manchester on November 2. The Defiance game will be the Annual Hall of Fame game as the Fightin' Engineers will induct the new members of the 2024 Hall of Fame class. The Manchester game will be the Senior Day celebration in their home finale.
This season, Rose-Hulman will play two teams that made the 2023 NCAA DIII Tournament. DePauw fell to Alma 32-17 in the opening round, and Mount St. Joseph fell to Wheaton (IL) 41-34 in the opening round.
The Fightin' Engineers are looking to return to the NCAA Tournament as they did in 2021 thanks to their 13th all-time conference title.
We hope to see you all at Cook Stadium at 7 PM on September 14 as the Fightin' Engineers host Trine in their 2024 home opener.
