TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman women's track & field team claimed a second-place finish in the Friday Night Spikes Opener. The Fightin' Engineers earned three event wins and 21 top-five finishes. 

The team was led by Rose Talbert claiming an event win in the 400-meter dash and two second-place finishes in the 200-meter dash and as a member of the 4x400-meter Relay team.

Other event winners included Irene Lema Madueno in the pole vault and the 4x200-meter Relay team of Katie Choi, Alex Adams, Emma Johns, and Iliana Hernandez.

Rose-Hulman will continue the Friday Night Spikes Series hosting the second installment on Friday, January 24, at 5:30 PM.
