CARMEL, Ind. -- The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced its weekly award winners for the sport of women's volleyball.
Lily Ebright has been named the HCAC Defensive Athlete of the Week for her performance in the team's exciting match against Transylvania over the weekend.
In the five-set loss to the Pioneers, the chemical engineering major led the Fightin' Engineers with 39 digs in the match, averaging 7.8 digs per set. Her 39 digs is a season-high for the Wichita, Kansas native. Ebright also added four assists in the team's narrow loss.
This is Ebright's first HCAC Athlete of the Week award this season and the 14th of her college career as a Fightin' Engineer.
The Rose-Hulman volleyball team will return to action on the road, facing Greenville on Wednesday, October 8, at 6 PM CT. The team will then return to conference play, facing Berea on the road on Saturday, October 11, at 1 PM.
