TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Senior
Jacob Pohl has hauled in the HCAC Defensive Player of the Week award for the first time in his career.
Pohl helped the Fightin' Engineers clinch the #3-seed in the season finale, where they took down Manchester 1-0.
The Avon, Ind. native appeared in all 90 minutes for the sixth consecutive game, where he led Rose-Hulman's defense that allowed just one shot on goal.
Pohl also played a key role on the offensive end, as he assisted on
Oliver Fila's game-winning goal 20 seconds before halftime.
The civil engineering major will look to lead Rose-Hulman to the championship game, as they go up against Hanover in the HCAC Semifinals. The match will be held on Wednesday, November 5, at 2 PM in Hanover, Ind.
