TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology baseball team will open their 2025 season taking on Mount Union in the Crossroads Crossover Series on Sunday, February 23, at 2 PM. The game will take place at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana.
ROSE-HULMAN GAME NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman has been picked to finish third in the HCAC preseason coaches poll receiving 67 points.
* Hanover was picked to finish second and Transylvania was picked to win the league with 79 points and seven first-place votes.
* Rose-Hulman finished last season with an overall record of 25-19 and a conference record of 14-8. The team advanced to the consolation bracket semifinals in the HCAC with wins over Franklin and Mount St. Joseph.
* The team ended their season with a loss to Anderson in the consolation semifinal.
* The Fightin' Engineers return a trio of All-HCAC selections including
Kade Kline,
Jonathan Oliger, and
Connor O' Connell.

Peter Rogers and
Colton Brown have also been named players to watch by the HCAC.

Kade Kline was named third-team All-Region from D3baseball.com and the ABCA last season, finishing the year with a .354 batting average, a .414 on-base percentage, a .568 slugging percentage, and a .982 OPS.
* Kline also finished the season with 68 hits, 21 extra-base hits, 7 home runs, and six triples.
* The Fightin' Engineers will hit the road to face Centre in a three-game series on Friday, February 28, at 4 PM, and Saturday and Sunday, March 1 and 2, at 1 PM.
MOUNT UNION NOTES:
* Mount Union finished last season with a record of 27-13 overall and 10-8 in the OAC.
* The Purple Raiders finished the season ranked fifth in the OAC standings, missing the OAC postseason tournament.
* Mount Union returns All-OAC pitcher Zachary Breeden for his senior season.
* Breeden led the team with 69 strikeouts, 81.2 innings pitched, and an ERA of 2.2.
* The team also returns their top hitter Andrew Witte who finished last year with 65 hits, 38 runs scored, 24 RBIs, and a batting average of .404.
* After facing Rose-Hulman, Mount Union will travel to face Keystone on Saturday, March 1 at 11 AM.

* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series between both teams with a record of 5-4 against the Purple Raiders.
* The Fightin' Engineers earned a win in their last game against Mount Union with a final score of 6-1 during the 2015 season.
