TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's track and field team closed out their 2025 indoor regular season schedule with a 5th place finish at Indiana State's John Gartland Invitational on Saturday afternoon in their final pre-HCAC tune-up.

Rose Talbert continued her record-breaking season on Saturday as she tallied her fourth consecutive meet with a school record performance. Talbert broke the 400m Dash school record and HCAC record with a time of 57.78, topping Creasy Clauser's record time of 58.75, set back, in 2013 by nearly a second. The time was a personal best for Talbert by 1.53 seconds and currently ranks 45th in NCAA Division III this season.

Talbert then tallied her second first-place finish of the event as she teamed up with Jocelyn Onstot, Jada Hunter-Hays, and Emma Johns to win the 4x400m Relay with a time of 4:03.10 that breaks the school record by over six seconds and the HCAC record by over five seconds. It currently ranks 43rd in NCAA Division III. Emma Johns was the star of the show in the relay as she split a 1:01.92 in the third leg, over four seconds faster than her career best.

Vianey Garcia and Lena Darini each added top-5 finishes as well for Rose-Hulman in the 1000m Run with Garcia's time of 3:22.93 ranking as the third-fastest in Rose-Hulman history.

With the conclusion of the regular season, the Fightin' Engineers set their sights on the 2025 HCAC Championship meet at Anderson University on March 1 as they look to win their fifth consecutive conference title.
