TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has released its annual awards for the sport of women's basketball.
Jamie Baum has earned 1st-Team All-HCAC and
Emma Schipp has been named to the HCAC Newcomer Team.
Baum wrapped up her senior year with an outstanding season to top off an exceptional career as a Fightin' Engineer. The civil engineering major from Los Altos, California reached a career milestone, becoming the 11th person in school history to reach 1,000 career points. Baum finished the season ranked seventh all-time in scoring in school history with 1,129 points.
She led the team this year with 16.7 points per game, 7.1 rebounds per game, 54 steals, 40 blocks, 35 three-pointers made, 95 free throws made, and 152 field goals made.
Baum finished her career ranking in the top five in five different statistical categories, including fourth in three-point field goals made (107), fourth in scoring average (14.5), fourth in field goals attempted (1,014), fourth in minutes per game (35.03), and fifth in three-point field goal percentage (34.5%).
Schipp was a standout newcomer for the Fightin' Engineers this season. The biomedical engineering major from Jasper, Indiana finished her freshman campaign averaging 8.9 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per game, and ranking second on the team with 65 assists and 147 total rebounds.
The freshman standout also made an impact on the defensive end totaling 25 steals and 21 blocks on the year.
The Rose-Hulman women's basketball team finished the 2024-25 campaign with a record of 12-14 overall and 9-9 in the HCAC. The team earned the #7 seed in the HCAC Tournament, falling to the Mount St. Joseph Lions in the opening round to end their season.
