TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology baseball team will return to HCAC play this weekend, traveling to face Manchester on Saturday, March 29, at 12 PM and 3 PM. The team will then travel to take on Wabash on Sunday, March 30, at 1 PM. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers enter the weekend with a record of 9-7 overall and 3-1 in the HCAC this season.
* The team comes off a doubleheader sweep over Berea with final scores of 4-3 and 11-1.
Peter Rogers leads the team at the plate with 24 hits, six doubles, a batting average of .364, and an on-base percentage of .442.
* Rogers also leads the team with 12 stolen bases this season.
Connor O'Connell is another standout for the Fightin' Engineers totaling 22 hits with a .314 batting average, leading the team with 16 RBIs. 
* Brady Strawmyer has been the ace on the mound for Rose-Hulman leading the team with 29.2 innings pitched, a 2.43 ERA, and 26 strikeouts. 
* Rose-Hulman has been picked to finish third in the HCAC preseason coaches poll, receiving 67 points. 
* Hanover was picked to finish second, and Transylvania was picked to win the league with 79 points and seven first-place votes. 
* Rose-Hulman finished last season with an overall record of 25-19 and a conference record of 14-8. The team advanced to the consolation bracket semifinals in the HCAC with wins over Franklin and Mount St. Joseph. 
* The team ended their season with a loss to Anderson in the consolation semifinal.
* The Fightin' Engineers return a trio of All-HCAC selections, including Kade KlineJonathan Oliger, and Connor O'Connell.
Peter Rogers and Colton Brown have also been named players to watch by the HCAC. 
* After traveling to face Manchester and Wabash, Rose-Hulman will return home to take on Greenville on Wednesday, April 2, at 6 PM. 

MANCHESTER NOTES:
* Manchester stands at 11-7 overall and 2-2 in the HCAC this season. 
* The team comes off a win over Hope College on Tuesday with a final score of 14-13. 
* Joel Kennedy leads the team at the plate with 33 hits, a .440 batting average, and four home runs this season. 
* Rocco Hanes is another standout hitter for the Spartans with 29 hits, seven doubles, three home runs, and a team-high 22 RBIs.
* Ty Layson is the team's leading pitcher with 31.0 innings pitched and 25 strikeouts.
* After hosting Rose-Hulman, Manchester will travel to take on Taylor University on Tuesday, April 1 at 6 PM. 

MANCHESTER SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads the series between both teams with a record of 44-40 against the Spartans. 
* The team's split in their doubleheader last season with Rose-Hulman winning the first game 15-9, and Manchester claiming game two 7-3. 
* The Fightin' Engineers have won six of the last seven matchups against the Spartans dating back to the 2022 season. 
* The team has an away record of 14-20 all-time when traveling to face Manchester.

WABASH NOTES:
* The Little Giants stand at 10-6 overall this season. 
* Wabash will face Hiram on Saturday, March 29, at 12 PM and 3:30 PM before hosting Rose-Hulman on Sunday.
* Ben Henke leads the team with 23 hits, four doubles, a .377 batting average, and 15 RBIs this season. 
* Henke also leads the team with a .475 slugging percentage and a .479 on-base percentage. 
* Aidan McConnell leads the team on the mound with 21.0 innings pitched, 19 strikeouts, and a 4.29 ERA. 
* After playing Rose-Hulman, Wabash will travel to face Denison in a doubleheader on Tuesday, April 1, at 12 PM and 3:30 PM. 

WABASH SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series against Wabash with a record of 41-18 against the Little Giants.
* Wabash defeated the Fightin' Engineers in their last game with a final score of 8-2 in the 2024 season.
* Rose-Hulman has won four of the last five games against the Little Giants, dating back to the 2022 season. 
* The Fightin' Engineers have an all-time away record of 17-10 when traveling to face Wabash.
