TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology baseball team will travel to take on Greenville on Thursday, March 6, at 3 PM CT.
ROSE-HULMANÂ NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers started their season with a thrilling win over Mount Union in extra innings with a final score of 9-7 to start the year at 1-0.
* The team now stands at 1-3 overall after being swept by #25 Centre in a three game series last weekend.Â
* Rose-Hulman has been picked to finish third in the HCAC preseason coaches poll receiving 67 points.Â
* Hanover was picked to finish second and Transylvania was picked to win the league with 79 points and seven first-place votes.Â
* Rose-Hulman finished last season with an overall record of 25-19 and a conference record of 14-8. The team advanced to the consolation bracket semifinals in the HCAC with wins over Franklin and Mount St. Joseph.Â
* The team ended their season with a loss to Anderson in the consolation semifinal.
* The Fightin' Engineers return a trio of All-HCAC selections includingÂ

Kade Kline was named third-team All-Region from D3baseball.com and the ABCA last season, finishing the year with a .354 batting average, a .414 on-base percentage, a .568 slugging percentage, and a .982 OPS.
* Kline also finished the season with 68 hits, 21 extra-base hits, 7 home runs, and six triples.Â
* After traveling to Greenville, Rose-Hulman will travel to compete in the Derby City Classic this weekend playing Spalding and Denison on Saturday, March 8, at 11 AM and 6 PM, and Spalding again on Sunday, March 9 at 3:30 PM.Â

* Greenville has started the 2025 season with a record of 5-4 overall this season.Â
* The team comes off a three-game series against Wheaton, winning the series 2-1.Â
* Snyder Pennington is the team's leading hitter with 16 hits this season and 13 RBIs.
* Matt Rocco is another standout hitter with 12 hits and 10 RBIs.
* Dawson Hope leads the team on the mound with 15.1 innings pitched and 19 strikeouts.Â
* After hosting Rose-Hulman, Greenville will travel to Florida for the week for their spring break trip.Â
