TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman baseball team will travel to Louisville, Kentucky for a competitive weekend of competition, facing some of the top-ranked teams in the nation. Rose-Hulman will face (RV) Spalding and #4 Denison on Saturday before finishing the weekend with another game against (RV) Spalding.

ROSE-HULMANÂ NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman enters the weekend with a record of 2-3 overall this season.
* The team comes off a win over Greenville on Thursday night with a final score of 7-1.Â
* Rose-Hulman has been picked to finish third in the HCAC preseason coaches poll receiving 67 points.Â
* Hanover was picked to finish second and Transylvania was picked to win the league with 79 points and seven first-place votes.Â
* Rose-Hulman finished last season with an overall record of 25-19 and a conference record of 14-8. The team advanced to the consolation bracket semifinals in the HCAC with wins over Franklin and Mount St. Joseph.Â
* The team ended their season with a loss to Anderson in the consolation semifinal.
* The Fightin' Engineers return a trio of All-HCAC selections includingÂ

Kade Kline was named third-team All-Region from D3baseball.com and the ABCA last season, finishing the year with a .354 batting average, a .414 on-base percentage, a .568 slugging percentage, and a .982 OPS.
* Kline also finished the season with 68 hits, 21 extra-base hits, 7 home runs, and six triples.Â
* After competing in the Derby City Classic, Rose-Hulman will host their home opener in a three-game series against Elmhurst on Saturday, March 15, at 12 PM and 3 PM, and Sunday, March 16, at 12 PM.Â
