GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman women's track & field team traveled to compete in the Indiana DIII Championships on Saturday. The team earned a fourth-place finish with a team score of 89.5.
The Fightin' Engineers finished the meet with nine top-three finishes, four event wins, and three new school records.Â
Rose Talbert had another outstanding week, earning two event wins in the 200-meter dash and the 400-meter dash. Her time of 56.16 in the 400 breaks her own school record in the event, set earlier this season at the Pacesetter Sports Invite.Â
Jocelyn Onstot claimed another school record in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:20.53.Â
The final school record of the day came in the 4x100-meter relay. The team of
Emma Johns, Talbert,
Iliana Hernandez, and
Alex Adams earned a second-place finish with a time of 49.08 to break the Rose-Hulman record in the event.Â
The women's track & field team will return home to host the Twilight Invitational on Friday, April 18, at 4:30 PM.Â
