Baseball Heads to St. Louis for Matchup Against #22 Webster

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology baseball team will travel to face #22 Webster University on Wednesday, April 16, at 3 PM CT. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers enter the mid-week matchup with a record of 15-12 overall and 8-5 in the HCAC. 
* The team had a successful weekend, going 4-0 with HCAC sweeps over Bluffton and Franklin. 
Connor O'Connell leads the team at the plate with a .368 batting average, totaling 43 hits, 28 RBIs, and a slugging percentage of .573.
* Peter Rogers is another standout hitter with a .351 batting average, totaling 39 hits, 28 runs scored, 11 doubles, 18 RBIs, and a team-high 18 stolen bases.
Brady Strawmyer has been the ace on the mound for Rose-Hulman, leading the team with 47.0 innings pitched, a 3.83 ERA, and 41 strikeouts. 
* Rose-Hulman has been picked to finish third in the HCAC preseason coaches poll, receiving 67 points. 
* Rose-Hulman finished last season with an overall record of 25-19 and a conference record of 14-8. The team advanced to the consolation bracket semifinals in the HCAC with wins over Franklin and Mount St. Joseph. 
* The team ended their season with a loss to Anderson in the consolation semifinal.
* The Fightin' Engineers return a trio of All-HCAC selections, including Kade KlineJonathan Oliger, and Connor O'Connell.
Peter Rogers and Colton Brown have also been named players to watch by the HCAC. 
* After traveling to face Webster, Rose-Hulman will return to HCAC play on the road against Mount St. Joseph University on Friday, April 18, at 7 PM. 

#22 WEBSTER NOTES:
* Webster stands at 24-6 overall this season and 11-1 in the SLIAC. 
* The team currently ranks #22 in the D3Baseball.com Top-25 rankings. 
* The Gorloks come off a sweep over Spalding, 7-3 and 8-1. 
* Evan Evola leads the team at the plate with a .363 batting average, totaling 41 hits, five doubles, five home runs, and 31 RBIs. 
* Ryan Greifelt is the team's top pitcher with 59.2 innings pitched, 64 strikeouts, and a 3.02 ERA. 
* After facing Rose-Hulman, Webster will travel to face Greenville on Saturday, April 19, at 1 PM and 4 PM.
