Baseball Hits the Road to Take On Anderson in Three-Game Weekend Series

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology baseball team will return to HCAC play, traveling to face Anderson for a three-game series with a doubleheader on Saturday, April 26, at 12 PM and 3 PM, and a single game on Sunday, April 27, at 12 PM. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers enter the weekend with a record of 17-15 overall and 10-6 in the HCAC. 
* The team comes off a close loss to DePauw on Wednesday night with a final score of 6-5. 
Connor O'Connell leads the team at the plate with a .361 batting average, totaling 48 hits, 33 RBIs, and a slugging percentage of .571.
* Peter Rogers is another standout hitter with a .333 batting average, totaling 44 hits, 33 runs scored, 13 doubles, 23 RBIs, and a team-high 19 stolen bases.
Brady Strawmyer has been the ace on the mound for Rose-Hulman, leading the team with 48.2 innings pitched, a 4.99 ERA, and 44 strikeouts. 
* Rose-Hulman has been picked to finish third in the HCAC preseason coaches poll, receiving 67 points. 
* Rose-Hulman finished last season with an overall record of 25-19 and a conference record of 14-8. The team advanced to the consolation bracket semifinals in the HCAC with wins over Franklin and Mount St. Joseph. 
* The team ended their season with a loss to Anderson in the consolation semifinal.
* The Fightin' Engineers return a trio of All-HCAC selections, including Kade KlineJonathan Oliger, and Connor O'Connell.
Peter Rogers and Colton Brown have also been named players to watch by the HCAC. 
* After traveling to face Anderson, Rose-Hulman will hit the road to take on Wabash on Wednesday, April 30 at 5 PM. 

ANDERSON NOTES:
* Anderson enters the weekend with a record of 21-12 overall and 11-5 in the HCAC.
* The team comes off a doubleheader loss to Franklin with final scores of 10-9 and 15-11. 
* Brendan Tabor leads the team at the plate with a .395 batting average, totaling 47 hits, 47 RBIs, and 34 runs scored. 
* Anderson was selected to finish fourth in the HCAC preseason poll with 56 points. 
* After facing Rose-Hulman, Anderson will wrap up their regular season with a three-game series against Hanover on Saturday, May 3, and Sunday, May 4. 

ANDERSON SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series between both teams with a record of 43-37 overall against the Ravens. 
* The Fightin' Engineers fell short in their last matchup against the Ravens in the HCAC Tournament with a final score of 15-4. 
* Rose-Hulman has an all-time away record of 13-10 when traveling to face Anderson.
