GENEVA, Ohio --
Rose Talbert has been named First Team All-America after finishing 7th in the 400-meter dash at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Talbert finished in the top eight in the 400-meter dash to earn First Team All-America status. In her first career appearance at the national meet, the sophomore chemical engineering major placed 7th in the final with a time of 54.62.
Her time breaks the Rose-Hulman school record in the event, previously set by Talbert in the prelim of the 400-meter dash on Friday with a time of 54.93.
Talbert becomes the 62nd track & field student-athlete to earn All-America status in school history and the 125th Fightin' Engineer in any sport to earn the honor.
