RHIT Look Ahead to Friday Night Spikes Larry Cole Opener

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Rose-Hulman returns to the SRC Fieldhouse for the Friday Night Spikes Larry Cole Opener. The meet will be held on Friday, January 16 at 5 PM.
 
ROSE-HULMAN MEN'S TRACK & FIELD NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman has competed in two meets this season.
* Their best result came in the Fightin' Engineers Invitational, where they placed first overall.
* The team achieved seven first-place results at the competition.
* Senior James Kaunas recorded first-place finishes in both the triple jump (12.45m) and long jump (6.14m).
* Junior Joe Jansen added a victory in the high jump (1.85m).
* Three of Rose-Hulman's wins came in solo distance events.
* Freshman Xaiden Jenson placed first in the 800-meter run (2:03.49).
* Sophomore Zachary Lyon added a first-place finish in the 3,000-meter run (9:27.30).
* Junior Alejandro Clark came in first place in the mile run (4:35.18).
* Jenson, alongside senior Brady Socha and freshmen Caleb Aber and Finley Hightower, won the 4x400-meter relay (3:37.01).
* Socha also recorded a first-place finish in the 800-meter run at the John Gartland Invitational.
 
ROSE-HULMAN WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers have participated in two meets on the year.
* The team achieved their best result with a second-place finish at the Fightin' Engineers Invitational.
* Rose-Hulman posted five first-place results at the Invitational.
* Junior Rose Talbert led the way with first-place finishes in the 200-meter dash (26.29) and 400-meter dash (1:00.41).
* Sophomore Juliana Carragher recorded a victory in the 3,000-meter run (12:10.71).
* In the field events, Megan Korte placed first in the high jump (1.38m).
* Irene Lema Madueno added a first-place finish in the pole vault (3.20m).
* Junior Jocelyn Onstot posted Rose-Hulman's best result at the John Gartland Invitational, placing second in the mile run (5:08.11).
