TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman women's track & field team earned a fourth-place finish at the Rose-Hulman Classic on Saturday. The team totaled a team score of 78 behind Indiana State with a third-place finish and score of 96.
The team earned one event win and 11 top-five finishes in the meet.
Rose Talbert was the lone event winner for the Fightin' Engineers, placing first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.62. Talbert also picked up a third-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.04.
Third-place finishers included
Narindwa Semakula in the 60-meter hurdles (9.39) and
Jocelyn Onstot in the 800-meter run (2:16.25). Onstot's performance in the 800-meter run was enough to break the school record in the event, previously held by Creasy Clauser during the 2010 season.
Rose-Hulman will return to action competing in the Fairgrounds Invite and the Keck Select Meet on Friday, February 6, and Saturday, February 7.
