TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Rose-Hulman continues their home stand with a three-game series against the Chicago Maroons. The Fightin' Engineers will start the series with a double header on Saturday, March 14, at 1 and 4 PM and conclude the series on Sunday, March 15, at 12 PM.
ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers have improved to 6-3 on the season.
* Rose-Hulman handed 9-0 #6 Washington-St. Louis their first loss of the season in a 9-8 win.
* Freshman
Matthew Furtado recorded a game-high five RBIs, highlighted by a grand slam to give RHIT an early 4-0 lead.
* Furtado leads the team with two home runs, while appearing in just four games at the plate.
* Sophomore
TJ Pipkins hit 3-5 with a game-high three runs against WashU.
* Pipkins has recorded 12 hits on the season with a .400 batting average and eight RBIs.
* Senior
Mason Rasmussen and sophomores
Jackson Harms and
Sam Erickson each recorded two hits.
* Harms and Erickson would both score two runs, while Rasmussen added one run.
* Harms has scored nine runs on the season, while M. Rasmussen has recorded a team-high nine RBIs.
* Sophomore
Liam Richardson recorded three strikeouts across four innings pitched.
* Richardson allowed just three hits while not giving up a single earned run.
* Freshman
Jack Reeves added three strikeouts across three innings of action.
* Reeves did not give up a hit or walk in the final two innings against WashU, securing his second save of the season.

* The Maroons have opened the season with a record of 3-7.
* They opened the season with a 5-3 win over #17 Centre, and they also defeated Franklin 15-9.
* Chicago is currently on a five-game losing streak, which includes 31-3 and 25-5 losses to #19 Pomona-Pitzer.
* Senior Michael Gladden has recorded team-highs with a .290 batting average, two home runs, and seven RBIs.
* Senior Braden Jirovec has posted a .289 batting average with a team-high 11 hits.
* Jirovec has added six runs, three doubles, one triple, and one home run.
* Senior Erik Rindner and sophomore Nathan Bae have each scored a team-high seven runs on nine hits.
* Sophomore Landon Brice leads the Maroons with a 1.64 ERA.
