Rose-Hulman Journeys to Kokomo for 2026 HCAC Tournament

KOKOMO, Ind. – Rose-Hulman has qualified for the HCAC Tournament for the 12th consecutive season. The Fightin' Engineers will play in the opening game of the double-elimination tournament on Thursday, May 7, at 10 AM against Franklin.
 
#3 ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers have clinched the #3-seed in the HCAC.
* The team has recorded a 22-17 overall record with a 13-9 conference mark.
* Rose-Hulman has won seven of their final ten games.
* The Fightin' Engineers lead the conference with 415 total hits on the season.
* RHIT has recorded a team batting average of .311, which ranks second in the HCAC.
* Jackson Summers has posted a .345 batting average with 58 hits.
* Summers leads the HCAC with 48 runs, and he has scored three or more runs in seven games.
* He has added a team-high 14 doubles with three triples, three home runs, and 27 RBIs.
* TJ Pipkins leads the team with a .392 batting average, recording 56 hits and 33 runs.
* Pipkins has hit nine doubles, three home runs, three triples, and 36 RBIs.
* Jackson Harms leads Rose-Hulman with 38 RBIs, while adding 39 hits and 25 runs.
* Harms has recorded a team-high seven home runs, which is tied for seventh-most in the HCAC.
* Connor O'Connell has recorded a .318 average at the plate with 47 hits and 31 runs.
* He has added ten doubles and 28 RBIs on the season.
* Gavin Drooger has achieved a 6-3 record on the mound with a team-best 4.13 ERA.
* Liam Richardson leads the team with 47 strikeouts in 53 innings.
* He struck out a career-high nine batters in Rose-Hulman's win against Anderson.

#1 EARLHAM NOTES:
* The Quakers have clinched the #1-seed with an 18-4 HCAC record and 26-11 overall mark.
* Earlham has hit a conference-leading 19 triples on the season.
* Their pitching staff has also achieved the best ERA in the conference at 3.85.
* Senior Sean Jeffries has scored 43 runs on 46 hits with a team-high 13 RBIs.
* Senior Mitchell Roether has recorded a team-leading .376 batting average.
* Roether ranks second in the HCAC with 45 RBIs and third with nine home runs.
* Junior Cayman Huntsman ranks second in the HCAC with a 2.68 ERA.
* Huntsman has struck out 54 batters in 57 innings pitched.
 
#2 TRANSYLVANIA NOTES:
* The Pioneers have secured the #2-seed with an 18-4 HCAC mark and 26-12 overall record.
* Transylvania leads the HCAC with a .316 batting average.
* Junior Drew Bowles leads the HCAC with a 2.18 ERA and a .195 batting average against.
* Bowles has also recorded the most wins with an 8-2 record, while pitching two complete games.
* He has thrown 99 strikeouts in 70.1 innings, which are 20 more than anyone else in the conference.
* Sophomore Ethan Dillon has recorded a .381 batting average with 48 hits and 37 runs.
* Dillon has hit a conference-leading ten home runs with 42 RBIs.
 
#4 HANOVER NOTES:
* The Panthers have finished the season as the #4-seed, going 13-9 in the HCAC and 22-17 overall.
* Senior Josh Simpson leads the team in nearly every hitting category.
* Simpson has recorded a .343 batting average with 49 hits, 31 runs, nine doubles, and 37 RBIs.
* He has hit eight home runs, which ranks fifth in the conference.
* Senior John Girard leads the team with a 4.50 ERA and a .233 batting average against.
* He has thrown 79 strikeouts in 68 innings, ranking second in the HCAC.
 
#5 ANDERSON NOTES:
* The Ravens are the #5-seed with a 12-10 conference mark and 21-18-1 overall record.
* Senior Trey Dorton ranks second in the HCAC with 47 runs on 54 hits.
* Senior Griffin Wolf has posted a .360 average at the plate with 59 hits and 33 runs.
* Wolf has hit six home runs while hauling in 33 RBIs.
* Freshman Braden Richey leads the team with a 3.90 ERA.
* He has struck out 51 batters across 64.2 innings of action.
 
#6 FRANKLIN NOTES:
* The Grizzlies qualified at the #6-seed with a 12-10 HCAC record and 23-16 overall mark.
* Franklin leads the HCAC with 365 runs, 88 doubles, 45 home runs, and 310 RBIs as a team.
* Sophomore Drew Helton ranks second in the HCAC with a .403 batting average and 60 hits.
* Helton leads the HCAC with 21 doubles and 46 RBIs.
* Helton has scored 35 runs on the season, while hitting seven home runs.
* Freshman Noah Loveall has smacked ten home runs with 31 RBIs.
* Freshman Davis Wagner has hit 11 doubles with 38 RBIs, while senior Garrett DeHart has recorded 13 doubles.
* Junior Luke Harmon leads the team with a 4.99 ERA.
* Harmon has struck out 59 batters in 57.2 innings pitched.
