Mount St. Joseph also enters the HCAC showdown with an 8-10 record. The Lions went 1-3 at the HCAC/OAC Challenge last weekend defeating Capital and falling to Ohio Northern, Muskingum, and Baldwin Wallace. Mount St. Joseph also fell to Centre College in straight sets on Wednesday
Mount St. Joseph leads the all-time series with Rose-Hulman 8-2 although the Engineers have won two of the previous three meetings. The Lions, however, won last year's matchup in four sets.
"I am eager to see what we do versus HCAC competition," head coach Brenda Goble said. "Our non-conference competition has been decent. We have always have a great rivalry with Mount St. Joseph. This will be a good measuring stick to see where we are at and where we need to go from here."
Rose-Hulman's next four matches are at home including Franklin and Illinois Wesleyan on Oct. 4, Greenville on Oct. 6, and Anderson on Oct. 8.
