AUBURNDALE, Fla. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology baseball team returns to action on Thursday with a noon matchup against Neumann in the fifth game of the annual Florida spring trip.
Rose-Hulman stands 3-1 after defeating John Carroll 4-2 in extra innings on Tuesday. The Fightin' Engineers seek their fourth straight victory on Saturday.
Neumann has a 2-3 record on the season, with all three losses taking place against NCAA Division III top 25 teams. The Knights defeated St. John Fisher 9-7 in their most recent contest on Wednesday.
Rose-Hulman was picked as the preseason favorite to win the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference title, while Neumann was selected third in the Colonial States Athletic Conference preseason poll.
After Thursday's game, Rose-Hulman will face Capital University for the second time in Florida on Friday at noon.
