TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology baseball team has announced a revised weekend schedule based on projected weather forecasts.
The regularly scheduled Thursday road game remains as the same, as Rose-Hulman faces nationally ranked North Central College at 3 p.m. Central Time.
Rose-Hulman will now face Transylvania in a series featuring revised times on Saturday and Sunday at Art Nehf Field. Saturday's doubleheader will begin at 3 p.m., with Sunday's single game starting at noon.
North Central is ranked No. 13 nationally by the American Baseball Coaches Association and No. 18 nationally by d3baseball.com this week. The Cardinals improved to 14-2 overall by sweeping a doubleheader from Millikin University on Tuesday.
Rose-Hulman is receiving votes in both the ABCA and d3baseball.com national polls this week and has a record of 13-5 after defeating Anderson 9-0 on Tuesday night. The Fightin' Engineers also stand No. 22 nationally in this week's Bennett Computer Rankings.
The Fightin' Engineer pitching staff recorded its fourth shutout of the season in Tuesday's win, led by seven shutout innings from Alec McNally. The offense features seven starters batting above .300, led by Kody Alayon at .378 with 10 stolen bases.
