TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology volleyball team will host its second Cancer Research Game on Saturday at 1 pm against Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opponent Hanover College.
All proceeds from the Cancer Research Game will benefit the Dan L. Duncan Foundation at the Baylor College of Medicine. The Duncan Cancer Center includes the No. 1 ranked genetics program in the country, with a goal of personalized medicine. The Duncan Cancer Center offers cutting-edge, research-based treatment options such as using patient's own genetic makeup to generate solutions.
Fans will be able to donate through cash donations; purchasing an event T-shirt; or participating in other fundraising events at Saturday's match.
RHIT NEWS & NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman stands 4-2 in HCAC play and can move into the current No. 2 seed in the HCAC with a win over Hanover.
* Elizabeth Canon leads the team with 258 kills. Riley Woodruff has added 190, and Katie Orbeta ranks third on the team with 160.
* Orbeta ranks No. 3 in Rose-Hulman with 2,703 career assists.
* Katryna Dahlberg has been named HCAC Defensive Player of hte Week three times this season. She leads the HCAC in digs (616) and digs per set (6.48)
* Eryn Castaneda leads the team in service aces with 46 and has added 360 assists.
* Maria Bruner has a team-high 71 blocks, and Riley Woodruff has tallied 66 blocks.

* Hanover is currently second in the HCAC with a 4-1 record and is 15-9 overall.
* Emma Rolf leads the Panthers and Adrianne Vance has added 238 kills.
* Kelsey Ketcham has a team-high 675 assists.
