REVISED TIME: RHIT Baseball Faces Dominican Thursday at 2:30 PM CT

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology baseball team will travel to Boomers Stadium in Schaumburg, Ill., to face Dominican University on Thursday.  THE START TIME WILL BE 2:30 PM CT DUE TO INCOMING WEATHER.

Rose-Hulman (14-8, 4-0 HCAC) News & Notes:
  • Rose-Hulman stands 14-8 overall and 4-0 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play.  The Fightin' Engineers have swept in-state foes Manchester and Earlham in the conference season.
  • Luke Buehler is a two-time HCAC Pitcher of the Week and one-time D3baseball.com National Team of the Week honoree in 2019.  Buehler is currently 4-0 with a 1.23 earned run average, including 30 strikeouts in 29.1 innings of work.
  • The team's four primary starting pitchers have also included Trevor Dallio (1-2, 3.95, 29 K, 27.1 IP), Trever Bruno (1-2, 4.88, 8 K, 24 IP) and Clayton Mayfield (2-1, 5.97, 25 K, 28.2 IP)
  • Rose-Hulman's bullpen features four pitchers with at least one save, led by freshman Brian Pershing with three saves and freshman Adam Taylor with two.
  • Brian Pershing and Zach Witonsky have made the most of their playing time with batting avrages of .531 and .467, respectively, this season.
  • Starters hitting above .300 include Conner Helbling (.368, 5 2B, 1 HR); Josh Mesenbrink (.333, 5 2B); Davis Robeson (.321, 2 2B); Harris Camp (.319, 3 2B, 1 3B); David Burnside (.316, 9 2B, 1 HR); Luke Kluepmer (.311, 1 2B); and Logan Cody (.304, 5 2B)
  • Rose-Hulman has won four HCAC Tournament titles, two regular season HCAC championships and made two appearances in the NCAA Division III Regional Championship Round since 2009.

  • Dominican has a 12-10 record and is 6-2 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference standings.
  • The Stars most recently split a doubleheader with Aurora, winning 9-5 and losing 7-4 on Monday.
