CARMEL, Ind. -- The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced its weekly award winners for the sport of women's volleyball.
Lily Ebright has been named the HCAC Defensive Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row.
The chemical engineering major led the Rose-Hulman defense as the team recorded two wins over Greenville and Berea. Ebright recorded 56 digs on the week, averaging 8.00 digs per set.
The Wichita, Kansas native's best performance came in the team's conference match against Berea. Ebright totaled 32 digs in the 3-0 sweep, averaging 10.66 digs per set. Ebright currently leads the conference and ranks third in all of NCAA DIII with 6.30 digs per set.
This is Ebright's second HCAC Athlete of the Week award of the season and the 15th of her college career.Â
The Fightin' Engineers women's volleyball team will continue their conference schedule, traveling to take on MSJ on Saturday, October 18, at 2 PM.Â
