CARMEL, Ind. -- The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced its weekly award winners for the sport of football. 
Hunter Kauffman has been named the HCAC Special Teams Athlete of the Week for his efforts in the Rose-Hulman win over the Manchester Spartans.
Kauffman made an impressive play on special teams for the Fightin' Engineers. The freshman mechanical engineering major recovered a blocked punt and returned the ball 19 yards for a touchdown to put the Fightin' Engineers ahead 28-13 in the fourth quarter.
His score helped seal the win over the Spartans with a final score of 35-13. The Goshen, Indiana native also totaled four tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, and 0.5 sacks.
This is the first HCAC Athlete of the Week award for Kauffman in his college career. 
Rose-Hulman football will return home to host Anderson on Saturday, November 8, at 2 PM.
