Rose-Hulman Heads West for Keck Select

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Fightin' Engineers will continue the 2025-26 campaign at Illinois Wesleyan for the Keck Select. The meet will be held on Saturday, February 7, at 10:45 AM in Bloomington, Ill.

Rose-Hulman will also send Andrew Shields (400m), Rose Talbert (200m & 400m), Ainsley Coffey (60m hurdles), and Narindwa Semakula (60m hurdles) to compete individually at the Fairgrounds Invitational on Friday, February 6, and Saturday, February 7.
 
ROSE-HULMAN MEN'S TRACK & FIELD NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers have competed in four meets as a team this season.
* Rose-Hulman has soared to three first-place finishes and one second-place finish.
* RHIT is coming off a first-place victory at the Rose-Hulman Classic with 132 points.
* The Fightin' Engineers placed first overall against multiple highly competitive opponents, including WashU (125 points), Indiana State (111 points), and DePauw (103 points).
* Kolton Nanko recorded a win in the pole vault with a jump of 4.75 meters (15'7").
* James Kaunas added a first place in the triple jump with a mark of 13.13 meters (43'1").
* Andrew Shields placed first overall in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.37.
* Cole Stevens recorded a first-place finish in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 16:11.39.
* James Kaunas posted a second-place in the long jump with a mark of 6.29 meters (20'7.75").
* John Gries added a second-place finish in the 3,000-meter run, crossing the finish line in 8:55.54.
* Antoine Cooper was named the HCAC Thrower of the Week for the fifth time in his career.
* Cooper recorded a third-place finish in the weight throw with a mark of 16.67 meters (54'8.25").
 
ROSE-HULMAN WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman has competed in four meets as a team on the year.
* The Fightin' Engineers have achieved three second-place finishes.
* The team is coming off a fourth-place finish with 78 points at the highly touted Rose-Hulman Classic.
* RHIT was outscored by WashU (163 points), DePauw (135 points), and Indiana State (96 points).
* Rose Talbert accumulated a first-place victory, which came in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.62.
* She added a third-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.04.
* Talbert's times in both the 200 and 400-meter dashes are the fastest times on a flat track in the HCAC this season.
* For her efforts, Talbert was named the HCAC Sprinter of the Week for the 11th time in her collegiate career.
* Jocelyn Onstot set a school record in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:16.25 to take third place.
* Narindwa Semakula added a third place in the 60-meter hurdles, completing the race in 9.39.
