GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman women's track & field team earned a fourth-place finish at the Indiana DIII Championships hosted by DePauw on Saturday. 

The team finished the meet with four event wins and 16 top-five finishes. 

The Fightin' Engineers were led by Rose Talbert with two event wins in the 400-meter dash (55.47) and the 200-meter dash (25.27). 

Jocelyn Onstot had a record-breaking performance with an event win in the 800-meter dash. Onstot broke the school record in the event with a time of 2:15.52.

Alex Adams was another event winner with a first-place finish in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.39. This time ranks second in the Rose-Hulman record books. 

The 4x100-meter relay team also broke a school record. The team of Emma Johns, Rose Talbert, Iliana Hernandez, and Alex Adams placed third with a time of 48.64 to break the Rose-Hulman record in the event. 

Carolina Snyder-Perez led the team in the throwing events with a third-place finish in the discus ( 36.51 meters, 119' 9") and a fourth-place finish in the hammer (42.16 meters,138' 4"). Her hammer throw ranks third in the school record book. 

The women's track & field team will travel to compete in the Gibson Invitational on Thursday, April 16, hosted by Indiana State.
