TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Fightin' Engineers men's and women's track & field teams will compete against Indiana's best in the Indiana DIII Championships hosted by DePauw on Saturday, April 11. The team will also travel select individuals to compete at the Lee University Fast Break Athletics Invitational on Friday, April 10.
ROSE-HULMAN MEN'S TRACK & FIELD NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineer are coming off a ninth-place finish at the Pacesetter Invitational.
* The team finished the meet with three top-five finishes and 13 top-15 finishes in the competitive meet.

Antoine Cooper was named HCAC Throws Athlete of the Week for his performance, earning second place in the discus with a mark of 48.36 meters (158' 8").
* Cooper's mark in the discus leads the conference, ranks 19th in the Great Lakes Region, and 24th in all of NCAA DIII.
*
Joshua Pohle earned HCAC Distance Athlete of the Week for his finish at the Oliver Nikloff Invitational hosted by the University of Cincinnati.
* Pohle finished 11th in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:58.64, which leads the HCAC and ranks seventh in the Great Lakes Region so far this season.

James Kaunas led the jumpers at the Pacesetter Invite with a fifth-place finish in the long jump (6.46 meters, 21' 2.5") and a sixth-place finish in the triple jump (13.35 meters, 43' 9.75").
* His mark in the triple jump ranks third in the conference, and his mark in the long jump stands seventh in the HCAC.
* The Fightin' Engineer were voted to repeat as HCAC outdoor champions in the HCAC Preseason Poll, earning 79 points and six first-place votes.
* The Fightin' Engineers concluded the indoor season as 2026 HCAC Champions.
* Rose-Hulman recorded six first-place finishes and 20 top-three finishes in the indoor championships.
* Head Coach
Shane Mills was named the HCAC Indoor Coach of the Year, and Derrick Lawrence earned HCAC Indoor Assistant Coach of the Year.

Andrew Shields won HCAC Indoor Sprint Athlete of the Year, and
Xaiden Jenson won HCAC Indoor Co-Newcomer of the Year.
* After competing in the Indiana DIII Championships and the Lee Fast Break Athletics Invite, Rose will travel to compete in the Gibson Invitational hosted by Indiana State and the Indiana Little State Championships hosted by Indiana Wesleyan. Both meets will take place from Thursday, April 16, to Saturday, April 18.
ROSE-HULMAN WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD NOTES:
* The Rose-Hulman women's track & field team picked up a 14th-place finish at the Pacesetter Invite hosted by Indiana State.
* The team earned eight top-15 finishes and four top-10 finishes in the meet.

Rose Talbert earned a second-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.80, which ranks second in the conference, fourth in the Great Lakes Region, and 19th in all of NCAA DIII.
*
Irene Lema Madueno earned an eighth-place finish in the pole vault, after clearing a height of 3.30 meters (10' 10").
* The 4x100-meter relay team of
Abigail Drumm,
Rose Talbert,
Iliana Hernandez, and
Alex Adams also earned a top 10 finish, placing ninth in the event with a time of 49.21.

Carolina Snyder-Perez led the throws team, placing 10th in the discus with a mark of 36.17 meters (118' 8").
