TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman women's track & field team traveled individuals to compete in the Sycamore Open hosted by Indiana State, the St. Francis Fighting Chance Invite hosted by University of St. Francis, and the Billy Hayes Invitational hosted by Indiana University on Friday.
Alex Adams led the team at the Sycamore Open with a record-breaking performance. Adams broke the school record in the 100-meter dash with a 10th-place finish and a time of 12.29. Adams also placed sixth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.23.
Jocelyn Onstot also had a record-breaking performance at the St. Francis Fighting Chance Invite. Onstot broke her own school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a first-place finish in a time of 10:40.39.
Megan Korte was the standout on the throws squad, finishing sixth in the javelin with a distance of 37.64 meters (123' 6"). Her mark ranks third in the Rose-Hulman school record books.
Audrey Edwards led the team in the jump events, placing sixth in the high jump after clearing a height of 1.55 meters (5' 1").
Rose Talbert was the lone competitor at the Billy Hayes Invite. Talbert placed eighth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 55.97.
The Rose-Hulman women's track & field team will return to action in the Augustana Midwest Twilight Qualifier on Wednesday, May 13.
