Fightin' Engineers Look Ahead to Action Packed Weekend

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Fightin' Engineers will open the week at the Indiana Late State Championships on Friday, April 17, at 2 PM, through Saturday, April 18, at 11 AM. They will continue their season by competing at the Gibson Invitational on Saturday, April 18, at 11:30 AM.
 
ROSE-HULMAN MEN'S TRACK & FIELD NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman competed individually at the Lee Fast Break Athletics Invitational last week.
* Joshua Pohle set a school record in the 10,000m with a time of 31:25.06 to finish in tenth place.
* The Fightin' Engineers are coming off a third-place finish at the Indiana DIII Championships.
* RHIT recorded 128.5 points with nine top-three finishes.
* Andrew Shields recorded a first-place finish in the 400m dash with a time of 48.29.
* Andrew Wendt also placed first overall in the pole vault with a mark of 12'7.5".
* Antione Cooper added two top-three finishes for the Fightin' Engineers.
* Cooper placed second in the discus with a throw of 154' 0" and third in the shot put with a mark of 48' 3.5".
 
ROSE-HULMAN WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD NOTES:
* Jocelyn Onstot also competed at the Lee Fast Break Athletics Invitational.
* Onstot broke a 13-year school record in the 1,500m, as she placed third overall with a time of 4:34.89.
* She would set another school record the following day at the Indiana DIII Championships, with a time of 2:15.52 in the 800m to take first place.
* As a team, Rose-Hulman recorded a fourth-place finish at the Indiana DIII Championships.
* They scored 113 points with four first-place votes.
* Rose Talbert achieved two first-place wins.
* Talbert won the 200m in 25.27 and 400m in 55.47.
* Alex Adams recorded Rose-Hulman's second-best time in school history, as she won the 100m in 12.39.
